Problem Statement

We aimed to create an engaging interface for a smart home app that lets users monitor and manage electricity usage with ease. Since current apps lacked a clear approach, we developed a new solution to cater to modern energy consumers.

Research and Analysis

I analyzed the features and user experience of top smart home mobile apps to understand the competitive landscape and identify innovation opportunities. By recognizing what was missing and emerging trends in the industry, I created a unique vision for a new smart home app that would cater to modern energy consumers and stand out from competitors.

Solution

The new interface included a streamlined overview page that displayed real-time usage data and personalized energy-saving suggestions. Additionally, users had the ability to set and track usage goals, view bill and payment history, and more.

Conclusion
